Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine

With the Durban July just around the corner, I thought I could share with you some looks you could go for (in my case, looks I would love to see) at the main event. Today we will start with the dress code. On the next blog post we will focus on the hair and make up!

Theme: AFRICAN STARS

THE HIGH END GIRL

for you the July is a fashion show case. you want to look expensive and you are not shy about spending a few Rand'"s. a high end crystal gown would be perfect for you and this years July theme.
High End Girl

For you the July is a fashion showcase, you want to steal the spotlight and you are not afraid to spend a few thousands of Rand's? this look is perfect for you

Modern high end

When we think high end, we think ancient Victorian ball gowns. For you modern gal, a crystal jumper with a simple silver sandal would be a great look for you. Good for getting down on the dance floor too! The long sleeves add that sense of elegance to it. If you don't like the sleeves, you can always just make it into a cape or coat like the next image...

PRACTICAL GIRL

sexy,sleek and slimming

if you are the practical type of girl (like me), who probably wants to use the dress again at another event. always go for a classic, timeless piece shape (bodycon dress). make it sparkly to fit the theme. more images below.

PARTY GIRL

You want to take the look from day to night, in this case from the main event to the after party. With the dress above you can do a transparent pump or sandal for the main even then switch it up at night and add knee high black boots and a biker leather jacket to party the night away!

DON'T WANT THE GLITTER?

Then go for a solid colour and have the shoe and accessories do the sparkle. going for a satin or silk material is also another way of wearing to the theme.

I hope you enjoyed this looks and probably gained some inspiration if you'll be attending the event this. This is part 1/2 of my July series. see you on my next post!
